    The Voice of God

Takin’ em to Church (with Altec) | Preservation Sound

Go to Preservation Sound for recent Altec additions: Altec | Preservation Sound
Opinion is only as valid as its verifiable supporting evidence.

    Re: The Voice of God

My church had some sort of Altec system hanging from the cieling long ago. I think it was an 817 and a multi-cell, but it's been so long that I don't know for sure. Most of the electronics were stolen in the early 80's. I think the speakers were taken down at that time, when a new system was purchased. I recall trying to get sound out of the cabinet by hooking up a radio to what was probably the crossover. I heard nothing....... I wish I could go back in time, as it was probably thrown away.

growing up in the 70s our church had a pair of A7s mounted flush and high on the wall on either side of the stage. and they just rocked. that was my first memory of altecs. besides the edison mall theaters 210s.
